Sculptor Philippe Anthonioz was lucky enough to have worked with the great artist and designer Diego Giacometti, whose bronze pieces are among the 20th century’s most prized decorative objects. Exploring the tension between primitivism and refinement, the Paris-based Anthonioz recently produced a series
of sculptural bronze floor lamps that are available through Ralph Pucci International. As with his sculptures,
Anthonioz carves the pieces in plaster and then has them cast in bronze, creating only eight editions of each.
“With my sculpture, I try to do something new each time, never to repeat what I did before,” he explains. “And
I hope that’s the feeling that people have when they look at them.” Fait accompli! ralphpucci.net
