The couple had refurbished other properties over the years, but never in the country. “We knew
it would be critical to find the right architects to create an authentic and exceptional house,” says
Lorenzo. He was introduced to Bruno and Alexandre Lafourcade, who are based in St-Remy-de-Provence. It was clear from their portfolio that they were the right choice, with the added bonus
that Bruno’s wife, Dominique, a noted garden designer, agreed to work on the grounds.
“It was a surprise to find such a marvelous property in its original state, set in the heart of the
Alpilles region, which is highly coveted by international architects and stars,” says Alexandre
Lafourcade. “In a case like this, one must pay respect, be humble, and use one’s knowledge and
experience to preserve the integrity of the architecture without imposing oneself on it.”
