Fluted legs and handles crafted of polished bronze flaunt a sultry magnetism in a deft juxtaposition of materials and influences. Designer Ferruccio Laviani’s astonishing bookcase for KME Design debuted at Salone, a daring metallic storm of hot reflections and curved angles, vamping up the feisty, caramelized ore of semiconductors and loose change: copper. With his expansive, handmade grid, Laviani endeavored to “reveal the material before the design,” a spell cast via KME’s expertise in producing pieces with a russet future.
