across the room, a delIcate
pas de deux plays out between a vintage pair of frank Gehry wiggle chairs and
two 19th century glazed celadon chaises, as a weathered cypress trunk dining
table draws the eye back toward the pièce de résistance: an unencumbered view
of twin peaks through nine foot accordion windows. the view is even dreamier in
the top floor master bedroom, where floor to ceiling glass walls frame the "outdoor"
shower. (don't worry, it's out of voyeur range.) an even more expansive iteration
of the vista opens up to the cantilevered, black lacquer platform bed sandwiched
between a 1972 Gerhard richter canvas and a shaggy turquoise and amber
Moroccan rug. the illusion here? floating on a dream.
