The owners asked “
that the nature and the beautiful lake
views not only be preserved, but explored,
by the architecture,˝ says Jardim of this
secret playground, adding that she and
Guedes ˝carried out endless studies before
deciding on the ideal spot to place the
house.˝ To complement the surroundings,
Jardim and Guedes allied their vision to a
˝contemporary, monumental and casual˝
aesthetic. Attuned to the surreal vistas, they
intentionally framed vignettes throughout
the space. A series of quadrilateral pillars
on the terrace—a seamless extension of the
main living area—were designed to frame
the views, each seeming to reach further
toward the water than the last.
