was the home of designer and antiques dealer Michael

Trapp, known for his signature eccentric style—immediately

recognizable in his own personal environs. enormous shells

serve as sculptures or containers—posed atop found columns

and other architectural artifacts—are gathered gracefully in

the sitting room, tented in white muslin creating an ethereal

feeling. “it’s much more romantic this way,” he says, noting
