lorence is an amazing city because its roots date back to medieval times; yet, it is very modern
and innovative today. When you are there, you literally breathe its history. The beauty of Florence
comes from a spirit that aligns it with any of the most glamorous cities in the world, and this is why
growing up and living in Florence has been a fantastic inspiration, not just for me but also for many
great artists, authors, businessmen and bankers of the past and present.
Contrary to what people may think, my father was born in the south of Italy and first went to
the States at the age of 15, opening his first store, the Hollywood Boot Shop, near Los Angeles. He
returned to Italy in the late 1920s and established himself in Florence. It was here that he found
interiors
beauty, art and most importantly a dedication to craftsmanship. Needless to say, I have always
been dedicated to helping the arts and promoting the city and region’s finest.
