CONTRIBUTORS
LYNN YAEgER is a contributing editor for Travel + Leisure
and a frequent contributor to Vogue, The New York Times, The
Atlantic and other stylish publications. The two loves of her life
are fashion and antiques.
ABIgAIL R. ESMAN is an award-winning freelance writer
based in New York and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with
over 20 years experience writing for Salon.com, Vogue, Esquire
(Holland), Town & Country, Art & Auction (where she is a
contributing editor), The Christian Science Monitor, Foreign
Policy, The New Republic, Artnews, and others. Her reporting on
post-9/11 politics in Europe has received worldwide attention,
and her articles and essays about art and design have appeared
in virtually every major art magazine.
JEN RENzI is a freelance writer based in New York City. She was
previously a senior editor at House & Garden and Interior Design
magazines. As a freelancer, she has written about contemporary
art and culture for myriad publications including Condé Nast
Traveler, and The New York Times magazines, New York, Surface,
Wallpaper and the Architectural Record. Jen has also authored
and contributed to design books and monographs for Princeton
Architectural Press, Clarkson Potter, Abrams, Pointed Leaf
Press, and Edizioni, among others. She frequently lectures about
architectural innovations and has juried or co-curated both
conceptual and commercial design exhibitions.
CHEF ANDREA ACCORDI was born in Verona, Italy and
attended school in Bardolino. After his education he worked
in London, Knightsbridge and traveled to the Far East to work
in Bangkok and Phuket. After returning to Europe, he worked
in Michelin starred restaurants in St. Tropez and St. Moritz
and, finally, Onice Restaurant of Villa La Vedetta in Florence
where at the age of 26 he was awarded his first Michelin star. The
33 year old chef joined Allegro at the end of August 2007
and soon received a Michelin star; the first in Central and
Eastern Europe.
JULIE TARASKA is a New York-based freelance journalist and
editor who thanks the Sex Pistols for her career. After winning
a fellowship to study British punk she moved to London and
began writing professionally. Her writing has appeared in
The New York Times, Men’s Vogue, Metropolis, Interior Design,
and icon.
MASSIMO FERRAgAMO is the Chairman of Ferragamo USA.
He is the youngest son of Salvatore and Wanda Ferragamo, and
has been married to Chiara Miari Fulcis since 1993. Also a
competitive sailor, Massimo regularly races his Swan 45, Bellicosa,
and is current holder of the Swan 45 gold Cup. He serves on
the board of the American Italian Cancer Foundation, a non-
profit, non-denominational organization. In 1999 Ferragamo
was honored by the National Italian American Foundation in
Washington D.C. with the American Italian Friendship Award.
SAxON HENRY a journalist with a passion for design and
architecture, has written for Architectural Digest Germany, The
New York Times, Interior Design and is a regular contributor to
Robb Report Vacation Homes. In October 2009, her book Four
Florida Moderns will be released by W. W. Norton & Company.
MEg NOLAN is an author and freelance travel writer living
in New York City. She has worked as an editor at Town &
Country and Travel + Leisure Golf, and on staff at Vanity Fair
and the International Herald Tribune in Milan, Italy. Her work
has appeared in Town & Country, Condé Nast Traveler, Elle,
Vanity Fair and the Nota Bene guides. In May 2008, Rizzoli
International Publications published her first book Italian
Hideaways. She is currently at work on her second and third
books in the series, Caribbean Hideaways and English
Hideaways.
