Oh yes, love. What? Amanda, you cannot have
all 500 pieces! But what if you could have one?
As it turns out, she picks a doozy. “There is one
necklace which unfortunately must be hidden
in a safe somewhere in the world: I published an
archive photo... but I have never seen the piece
in the flesh. It is a broad collar with large stylized
lotus flowers in orangey-pink coral, with large blue
cabochon sapphires, black onyx and diamonds. It
was certainly inspired at the time by the treasures
of Tutankhamun, which were on show in Europe
for the first time in the early 1970s. This is the piece I
would really like to see and dream to own.”
Well, that’s a big dream. As for me, I could
just waltz over, like Andy, to any Bulgari shop in
the world, pick up a watch that crawls up your
arm like a snake, and be perfectly happy n Lynn
